Health and Safety Procedures
El Kekhia Group is committed to apply the highest occupational health and safety standards for the protection of property and personnel within the company as well as neighboring companies. Therefore, occupational health and safety procedures are applied by means of setting plans, policy and objectives of the organization for occupational health and safety of the company and so as to comply with legal requirements and OHSAS 18001 obtained by the company, as to comply with the requirements of the Egyptian Code of Civil Defense.
Our Environmental Procedures
El Kekhia Group is committed to implementing the highest environmental preservation standards by means of the company’s obtaining ISO 14001 certification as well as applying its terms so as to reduce environmental risks. The company’s environmental record was prepared and approved.
Training and awareness raising courses have been implemented in order to preserve work environment (energy conservation awareness and methods of safe disposal of wastes of all kinds).
Environmental measures have been taken to determine ratios and their conformity with the legal requirements for the protection of the company’s workers (noise, thermal heat and lighting). The company signed a contract with a specialized firm in order to evacuate medical as well as solid wastes resulting from the production process so as to ensure a safe and healthy work environment free of any environmental risks. The analysis of drinking water has been carried out so as to ensure that water is potable.
Exhibitions
The Group’s strategy for expansion includes active participation and promotion within the industry’s most prominent export and trade events such as Destination Africa.
Destination Africa event offers a unique platform for African suppliers in the textile industry establishing Africa as a sourcing destination for the world. Targeting both international and regional businesses, the event promotes apparel, and textiles. It also highlights the benefits of regional trade such as tariff advantages and proximity.
The first event which took place in 2016 brought together 77 manufacturers from 11 African countries and 127 major companies from the EU and US. The Group’s participation in both 2016 and 2017 has largely contributed to raising awareness amongst international players as well as growing their potential client base.
El Kekhia Group participated in February 2018, 2019,2023,2024 as an exhibitor at FRUIT LOGISTICA, a yearly event that brings together international vendors for everything related to the fresh produce trade. The event which will take place in Berlin, Germany covers every product category within the fresh produce supply chain, from the actual fruits and vegetables to packaging, transport, storage, press and media, and the latest cultivation technology.
And with an excess of 3000 exhibitors and 76,000 visitors, FRUIT LOGISTICA is an ideal opportunity for networking opportunities with key decision-makers in every sector of the industry.
