El Kekhia Plastics was founded in 1994, as the first company established under the umbrella of El Kekhia Group when a unique market opportunity emerged with the retail and apparel export industry booming, the need for locally produced apparel hangers – a product which was customarily imported .

By 2002, the company’s stellar reputation and customer base allowed us to create a joint venture with Mainetti Group – the world’s largest producers of apparel hangers with more than 5000 employees in 49 countries. In 2010 El Kekhia signed long term licensee agreement with Mainetti .

The family owned business set out to create products that would not only dominate the local market but also compete internationally.In 2010 El Kekhia signed long term licensee agreement with Mainetti .

Today the factory is equipped with over 30 injection machines including multi color injection machines for automotive sector and exports to an extensive client base around the world. The group’s know how and know who for providing superior quality plastic products allowed us to expand to other plastic manufacturing areas .

The factory’s latest addition includes new extrusion line making high quality sheets ABA layers which provide ideal food approved packaging sheets with the best European quality Following to the extrusion the factory’s includes brand new two thermoforming lines, making trays, clamshell punnets and egg trays which provide ideal packaging solutions that are to the international standards for fresh fruits, vegetables & Eggs .

El Kekhia is one of the leading Egg trays producers in Africa and Middle east, distributing the Egg trays production through the biggest agency for the Poultry supplies in the MENA.
